Anointing of the Sick

This sacrament is for all those who may be in danger of death because of sicness or old age, or for anyone who is due to undergo major surgery. We should not delay in receiving this sacrament. When we are suffering from grave infirmities, it strengthens our faith, hope and charity. The Sacrament of the Sick is intended for the living.

This Sacrament can be obtained upon request directed to the pastor (please call the parish office). In case the pastor cannot be reached, contact the TBRHSC at 684-6000 and ask for the Priest on-Call. Remember that a Catholic priest is available in every hospital 24 hours per day. The request for a priest should be addressed to the nursing staff.

It is our custom to visit the elderly and homebound parishioners every “First Friday” of the month at the request of the family.

Communal anointing is scheduled and announced in the bulletin (usually the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes - 11 February).
